Zoo Magazine Glamour Models Double Sided Large Fold-Out Poster BB007

Large double-sided ZOO fold-out poster, with completely different artwork on each side.

The principal side is a striking large-format studio composition featuring a large group of female glamour models arranged together against a dark black background. The models are positioned in a carefully arranged circular/radiating formation, creating an unusual almost symmetrical photographic design. A large vertical red ZOO logo appears in the upper-right corner.

The reverse is completely different and resembles a huge ZOO photographic montage/contact-sheet design. It contains a very large number of individual small photographs arranged in rows and columns across almost the entire sheet. The subject matter is extremely varied, including glamour photography alongside humorous, strange, novelty and candid-style images, animals, people, sport/action shots and other miscellaneous visual material associated with ZOO's irreverent editorial style.

Several larger photographs interrupt the smaller thumbnail grid, creating a deliberately busy collage appearance. A prominent red ZOO logo appears toward one end of the reverse.

Together, the two sides make this a particularly distinctive piece of ZOO magazine memorabilia: one side functions as a dramatic group glamour image, while the reverse works almost like a visual retrospective or gallery of assorted ZOO imagery.

Condition

Pre-owned condition with clear evidence of previous folding and storage.

There are numerous strong horizontal and vertical fold lines running across the full sheet. A pronounced vertical centre fold is visible from top to bottom, with several horizontal folds crossing it at regular intervals. These folding lines are particularly noticeable against the dark background of the main image.

There is visible creasing and fold stress at several intersections, especially through the central portion of the poster. Some of the folds have slight waviness and raised areas where the paper no longer lies perfectly flat.

The outer edges appear generally complete but show light handling/storage wear and slight waviness. The bottom edge in particular does not sit completely flat when opened. The corners show minor softening and handling wear rather than remaining perfectly sharp.

On the collage side, the same extensive folding pattern remains clearly visible through the printed photographs, together with some minor rippling from previous storage.

I do not see an obvious major tear, large missing section or handwritten marking in the supplied photographs. There may be minor surface marks and small areas of fold wear that are difficult to distinguish against the busy printing.

Overall, this appears to be a complete-looking large vintage ZOO fold-out with substantial original folding and moderate general handling/storage wear, but still presenting strongly when fully opened.
