ZOO Magazine 7-13 November 2008 Imogen Bailey Roxanne McKee SKU 1471

Pre-owned / used vintage magazine.

Please study all supplied photographs carefully, as they form an important part of the condition description.

This copy shows visible signs of previous reading, handling and storage, but remains a strong, complete-looking collector's copy overall.

The front cover remains bright and colourful, with the large Imogen Bailey cover image and bold ZOO graphics displaying well. There is visible general surface rubbing and light scratching to the glossy finish, together with small marks from handling.

The outer edges show age-related rubbing and wear, particularly around the spine, top edge and corners. The upper corners show some softening/creasing, and there is light waviness and compression along portions of the cover edge. The lower edge and lower corners also show minor handling wear.

The spine remains intact from what can be seen, although it has the usual rubbing, small knocks and surface wear expected from a weekly magazine of this age.

Internally, the photographed pages remain bright, legible and securely held. There is some ordinary page waviness, light creasing around the centre folds and slight edge wear from previous reading. The large photographic spreads shown still present very well.

The rear cover also has visible edge and corner rubbing, including noticeable wear around the lower-left/spine area and some creasing/softening to the corner. Surface marks and general storage wear are also visible.

No obvious large tears, detached sections or major missing areas can be seen in the photographs supplied. However, the magazine is not being represented as mint or pristine, and buyers should use the photographs as the best guide to its exact cosmetic condition.

Description

Original ZOO Magazine – Issue 245, dated 7–13 November 2008.

This is a particularly model-focused late-2000s issue of the British weekly magazine, with Imogen Bailey dominating the front cover and receiving a substantial feature inside.

The magazine contains the bold photography, celebrity/model features, television coverage, sport, entertainment, humour and regular ZOO sections strongly associated with the publication during this period.

Imogen Bailey Cover Feature

The principal cover model is Imogen Bailey, prominently advertised as the Neighbours star.

The front cover is built around a large full-length photograph of Imogen Bailey, with the main headline promoting her exclusive ZOO feature.

The contents pages confirm a dedicated Imogen Bailey feature, and the supplied photographs show the feature continuing inside with large-format glamour photography.

One photographed page introduces Imogen Bailey in very large typography, accompanied by text identifying her with Neighbours and describing her television/model background.

This makes the issue particularly collectible for fans of Imogen Bailey and collectors of Australian television-related glamour magazine appearances from the period.

Additional Female Features

The issue contains a strong selection of additional female celebrity/model material.

The supplied photographs visibly show or reference:

• Imogen Bailey
• Roxanne McKee
• Nadine Velazquez
• Eva Longoria
• Audrina Patridge
• Hayden Panettiere
• Ola Jordan

The contents page specifically lists Roxanne McKee, while another photographed spread is devoted to the magazine's “TV's Sexiest Imports” countdown.

That feature visibly includes Nadine Velazquez and Eva Longoria, alongside further television personalities, presented in ZOO's typical countdown format with large photographs and ranking numbers.

TV's Sexiest Imports Feature

One of the more substantial photographed sections is the magazine's international television feature.

The double-page spread uses the headline “TV's Sexiest Imports!” and presents overseas television personalities in ranked countdown form.

Nadine Velazquez is prominently shown in a large photograph, while Eva Longoria appears alongside her. The feature combines full-colour photography with short biographical captions and ranking positions.

Other Magazine Content

The supplied contents photographs also show a broad selection of typical ZOO material from November 2008, including:

• glamour/model photography
• television personalities
• celebrity news
• football
• boxing
• entertainment
• gadgets
• reviews
• style and grooming
• humour
• regular reader features

Other visible editorial subjects include Cristiano Ronaldo, Top Gear, David Bentley and various entertainment and sport stories, although the principal collectible emphasis of this listing is the female model and celebrity content.

Depending on the final packed size and weight, the magazine will be protected using sturdy cardboard packaging and/or suitable bubble wrap, with additional support where appropriate.

Particular care will be taken around the spine, corners and outer edges, which are naturally the most vulnerable parts of an older magazine. Packaging will be intended to help minimise bending, crushing, corner knocks and movement inside the parcel.

Please remember that this is an original pre-owned magazine from 2008, so buyers looking for a completely flawless or newsstand-mint copy should examine all supplied photographs closely before purchasing.
