Condition

Pre-owned original magazine in good used condition for its age.

The front cover remains bright, colourful and highly presentable, with the main Kirsty Gallagher cover image and large red ZOO masthead displaying very well. There is some normal age-related handling and storage wear, including light rubbing/scuffing to the cover, minor edge wear and small corner knocks/creasing.

The spine appears intact and the magazine remains together well. The photographs show some slight page/cover curvature from storage, particularly when the magazine is lying flat, but no major structural damage is apparent.

Internal pages shown are clean, colourful and clearly readable, with only ordinary handling wear around the page edges. No major tears, heavy writing or significant staining are visible in the supplied photographs.

Please examine all photographs carefully, as they form part of the condition description.

Magazine Details

Publication: ZOO Magazine
Issue: 62
Full Date: 15–21 April 2005
Original Price: £1.20
Main Cover Feature: Kirsty Gallagher

Original mid-2000s issue of ZOO Magazine, combining celebrity photography, sport, football, television, cars, humour and entertainment features.

This issue is particularly strong for collectors of 2000s British men's magazines, football memorabilia and television personalities, with Kirsty Gallagher prominently featured on the front cover and inside.

Kirsty Gallagher Feature

The main cover feature is Kirsty Gallagher, promoted as the Games girl with a new photo shoot.

The magazine contains a substantial dedicated feature beginning around page 30, and one of the supplied photographs shows a large double-page “Game Girl” spread.

The photographed feature shows a full-page studio-style image alongside editorial text discussing her television career and involvement with gaming-related programming.

For Kirsty Gallagher collectors, this is clearly the principal attraction of the issue.

Other Famous People & Features Visible

Ozzy Osbourne

Ozzy Osbourne is prominently promoted on the front cover under “All Ozzy's Nutty Bits”, tied to a feature looking back at memorable moments involving the Osbournes.

His photograph is also clearly visible on the contents page.

Alan Shearer

The contents page clearly promotes a major sporting feature featuring Alan Shearer, described as a tribute to one of Britain's leading footballers.

His large Newcastle United photograph occupies a substantial part of the contents page.

Paul Dickov

A football feature on Paul Dickov is listed in the sports section of the contents.

Kirsty Gallagher

In addition to being the cover star, Kirsty is prominently photographed internally and has a dedicated multi-page feature.

40 Sexiest Young Models Special

The front cover heavily promotes a 10-page “40 Sexiest Young Models” special.

A selection of model portraits is displayed around the feature promotion on the cover. This forms one of the magazine's main editorial features alongside the Kirsty Gallagher shoot.

The contents page confirms this as another major section of the issue.

Football & Sport Content

This issue has particularly strong football content, making it interesting beyond the celebrity material.

Photographed and advertised features include:

  • Alan Shearer tribute
  • Paul Dickov feature
  • Feature on football hooliganism
  • London Marathon
  • Premier League-related material
  • Football news and humour
  • “20 Best Punches Ever” sporting/celebrity compilation

The front cover also promotes a feature described as going inside football's bloodiest gang.

Motoring Content

The issue includes a prominent feature asking “Why Ferrari Are Finished”, illustrated with Formula One imagery.

The contents also show a Lexus motoring feature, alongside ZOO's regular motoring coverage.

Entertainment & TV

The magazine contains the usual mixture of mid-2000s entertainment material, including:

  • Film reviews
