Large double-sided REVS magazine fold-out poster produced to celebrate the magazine's 75th Special Edition.

This is a particularly distinctive REVS collectable because the two sides have completely different designs. One side features a colourful 75th Special Edition birthday/celebration image, while the reverse is an extremely detailed REVS modified-car show collage packed with customised vehicles, automotive displays, promotional models, car-audio equipment and period tuning imagery.

Side 1 – REVS 75th Special Edition

The main celebratory side is dominated by a huge distressed yellow graphic reading:

“AWESOME 75TH SPECIAL EDITION”

The oversized 75TH lettering fills much of the upper half of the sheet and immediately identifies this as a special milestone design rather than a standard REVS poster.

The background is predominantly bright blue and features a group of female promotional models arranged together for a playful birthday-themed photograph.

Rather than showing conventional individual portraits, the composition concentrates on the models' legs and colourful outfits. The clothing incorporates brightly coloured lettering, with “HAPPY” and “BIRTHDAY” visibly forming part of the celebratory theme.

Numerous balloons are scattered around the scene, including blue, purple and translucent balloons. Together with the birthday wording and oversized 75TH graphic, these reinforce the special-edition celebration.

The design uses a particularly bold combination of:

  • Large distressed yellow 75TH lettering
  • “Awesome” wording above the number
  • “Special Edition” wording beneath
  • Bright blue background
  • Multiple female promotional models
  • Colourful birthday-themed outfits
  • Blue and purple balloons
  • “Happy Birthday” themed lettering

No individual model names are clearly printed or identifiable from the supplied photograph, so no names have been assumed.

Reverse – REVS Modified-Car Show Collage

The reverse is completely different and is devoted to the modified-car and tuning scene associated with REVS.

This side is constructed as an enormous photographic collage containing a large central group photograph surrounded by numerous smaller automotive and event photographs.

The large white REVS branding is clearly visible across the central portion of the collage.

The main photograph shows a group of promotional models and other attendees posing together at what appears to be an indoor modified-car exhibition. They are standing on a red-carpeted show floor, with cars, exhibition equipment and other attendees visible around them.

The surrounding images provide a broad snapshot of the modified-car scene.

Visible vehicles include examples finished in:

  • Red
  • Yellow
  • Blue
  • Silver
  • Black/dark colours
  • Metallic gold/bronze

The cars display numerous period modifications and show-car details, including aftermarket alloy wheels, lowered styling, customised bodywork, modified bumpers, engine-bay work and other tuning features.

A particularly prominent photograph towards the lower section features a metallic gold/bronze customised car photographed from above/front, clearly displaying its modified bodywork and large alloy wheels.

Another sizeable photograph features a bright yellow modified car, while numerous smaller photographs show red, blue, silver and dark-coloured performance/show cars.

RAZO / Tuning Content

RAZO branding is visible within the automotive collage, adding another identifiable period tuning connection to the poster.

The collage is not limited to exterior car photographs. It also contains images relating to:

  • Custom interiors
  • ICE / in-car entertainment
  • Speaker installations
  • Car-audio equipment
  • Engine bays
  • Aftermarket components
  • Exhibition displays
  • Promotional models
  • Groups of show visitors
  • Automotive promotional material

This makes the reverse particularly interesting as a visual snapshot of the modified-car show scene rather than simply a poster of one particular vehicle.

Printed editorial-style headings are incorporated into the collage, including visible wording such as “THINGS YOU DIDN'T KNOW” and “SERIOUSLY STYLISH”. Other smaller captions are present but are too small in the supplied photograph to reproduce reliably.

The combination of the 75th Special Edition celebration on one side and the REVS tuning/show collage on the other makes this a distinctive piece of REVS magazine memorabilia.

Based on the measuring reference shown alongside the item, the unfolded sheet reaches approximately 90 cm along its longest dimension, although this should be treated as an approximate measurement from the photograph.

Condition

Pre-owned condition with prominent original fold lines, additional creasing, handling wear and some paper distortion from previous folded storage.

The condition has been assessed from both supplied photographs.

The poster has numerous strong horizontal and vertical fold lines dividing the large sheet into smaller rectangular panels. These are clearly visible on both sides and are the most significant aspect of the condition.

75th Special Edition Side

A strong vertical centre fold runs down through the large yellow 75TH graphic and the photographic image beneath.

Multiple horizontal folds cross the entire sheet, including through the large lettering, balloons and models.

There is additional creasing and wrinkling around several fold intersections, particularly through the central portion of the sheet.

A noticeable additional narrow vertical crease is visible within the blue background around the centre-left area. There are also several shorter creases and pressure lines around the middle and lower portions.

The paper shows some waviness/rippling, meaning the poster does not lie completely flat when opened.

The outer edges show light handling wear and slight unevenness. Some corners have minor softening/bending consistent with previous folding and storage.

Despite this wear, the blue background, yellow 75TH lettering and colourful photographic elements remain strong and clearly presented.

REVS Collage Side

The reverse shows the same extensive folding structure.

The main vertical fold runs through the central group photograph and large REVS branding, while several horizontal folds pass through the surrounding automotive images.

There is visible fold stress and creasing at the intersections, together with some slight paper rippling.

Because the reverse contains such a dense photographic collage, minor surface marks are less immediately obvious than on the plain blue areas of the 75th Special Edition side. However, the principal fold lines remain clearly visible throughout.

The edges have some light waviness and handling/storage wear, and the sheet does not sit perfectly flat.

I do not see an obvious large missing section, major through-tear, handwritten marking or tape repair in either supplied photograph. Small areas of wear/stress along the folds are visible.

Overall Condition

A complete-looking REVS 75th Special Edition double-sided fold-out poster with noticeable original folding, additional creasing, fold-intersection stress, slight paper waviness and general edge/corner handling wear.

It is not a pristine or crease-free example, but both sides remain colourful and visually strong when opened. The 75th Special Edition artwork and REVS modified-car collage are both substantially intact.

Condition assessment is based strictly on the two supplied images.
