Original Front Magazine – Summer 2004, Issue 73, a substantial early-2000s UK men’s lifestyle magazine combining glamour photography, humour, interviews, motoring, sport, music, fashion and entertainment.

This is billed prominently as “The Sex Issue”, with a striking purple-and-yellow FRONT masthead and a multi-model glamour cover. It is a very recognisable example of the British lads’ magazine era and has strong period appeal for collectors of Front, early-2000s men's magazines and UK pop-culture publications.

Because of the highly sexualised cover imagery and adult-oriented editorial theme, I would not regard this particular issue as eBay-safe, even though the photographed copy itself is a legitimate mainstream vintage magazine.

Other contents visible include humorous regulars and lifestyle pieces covering motorsport, student life, dating/relationships, fashion and travel.

Carmen Electra / Celebrity Content

The contents page clearly advertises Carmen Electra on page 112, making this issue particularly relevant to collectors of her magazine appearances and early-2000s celebrity material.

There is also a Paris Hilton feature listed in the opening contents, alongside other recognisable entertainment and music personalities from the period.

Music & Entertainment

The issue includes a feature on The Ordinary Boys, described as a backstage piece on the then-emerging guitar band.

The contents also demonstrate Front's characteristic mixture of music, celebrity culture, humour and men's lifestyle material rather than being solely a glamour publication.

Motoring & Lifestyle

Automotive material is well represented, with:

  • Formula One related content
  • Superbikes
  • Army motorcycle material
  • General cars/bikes coverage within the reviews section

This gives the issue additional appeal as a snapshot of British men's lifestyle publishing in 2004.
