Original FHM – For Him Magazine, February 1999, Issue 109, a substantial late-1990s men's lifestyle magazine packed with celebrity features, television personalities, fashion, humour, motoring and period advertising.
The front cover promotes Gail Porter alongside a feature on British television personalities, with Andrea Nemcova also specifically named on the cover. Inside, the contents shown include further features on Jennifer Beals, filmmaker John Waters and wrestler Les Kellett, alongside the usual FHM mix of fashion, gadgets, motoring and men's lifestyle material.
⭐ EXTRAVAGANT FOLD-OUT FEATURE
A particularly strong feature of this copy is the large multi-page fold-out section shown in the photographs.
The fold-out opens well beyond the normal magazine page width and features a large group photograph promoting women from British television, with the printed heading referencing:
Coronation Street • Hollyoaks • Brookside • Emmerdale • Sister Said
This is a proper oversized fold-out feature rather than simply a standard double-page photograph, and it remains attached to the magazine as shown. A great period piece for collectors of 1990s FHM, British TV memorabilia and vintage men's magazines.
Other material visible in the photographed contents includes:
- Jennifer Beals feature
- John Waters interview/feature
- Les Kellett
- British TV personalities feature
- Fashion and men's style
- Power tools and hardware
- Motoring/Ferrari content
- Men's health and humour
- Period advertisements and late-1990s lifestyle content
Condition
Pre-owned vintage condition.
Considering this magazine dates from February 1999, it presents reasonably well overall. The front cover remains bright and colourful with the main photography and lettering clearly visible. There is general age-related handling wear, including light surface marks, small scuffs and wear around the outer edges/corners.
The spine appears intact and the magazine retains a good overall shape, although there is some normal shelf/handling wear visible along the spine and edges. Interior pages shown appear clean, bright and securely held.
Importantly, the large fold-out feature is still present and attached. It opens out correctly as photographed and shows some normal creasing/folding associated with its original construction and use.
The rear cover also shows general light surface and edge wear consistent with a magazine of this age.
Please study all supplied photographs carefully, as they form an important part of the condition description and show the exact magazine you will receive.
